Hi, I'm Danny Brod, photographer and owner of daniel C. photography. This blog keeps an up-to-date record of my goings-on...weddings, my volunteer photography work with Austin Pets Alive, my love for concert photography, and whatever else catches my eye. I'm based out of Austin, Texas...but don't let that discourage you. I love to travel and see the world. So if your wedding is overlooking the distant ocean on some remote island, I can be there too! I have been shooting weddings for almost three years now. I absolutely love what I do. It's such a rewarding feeling to be there for couples on their special day. I feed off the energy of the moment and try to project that through my work. I look forward to hearing from you!
Andrea and Clint are getting married in May, which is just right around the corner! I can’t wait for this wedding…full of culture clashing with Chuck Taylors. What a blast! This was such a fun shoot! Andrea and Clint are a laugh a minute. We did the fun South Congress stroll, and then went over to Auditorium shores where they got engaged. Romantic!
I do some volunteer photography on the side for the Austin Pets Alive organization, a non-profit volunteer organization helping to stop the killing of adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. Please consider rescuing a dog!
Come see me! I’ll be at the Weddings Unveiled Allan House open house on March 3, 2010, from 6pm until 8pm. There will be cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, and lots of goodies. And ME! Raffles will be held every 30 minutes, including a chance to win a free E-Session with me! You can buy your tickets here. There are also a limited number of free tickets…please enter the promo code FREETIX. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
I do some volunteer photography on the side for the Austin Pets Alive organization, a non-profit volunteer organization helping to stop the killing of adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. It was a gorgeous February day, and a perfect time to take some puppy pics! I made the rounds to several adoption sites at Petsmart, and from the sounds of it, a lot of these dogs might find homes soon. Please consider rescuing a dog!
Megan and Todd tied the knot November 21, 2009 at Vintage Villas. I loved all of the colors at this wedding! Bouquets of Austin really outdid themselves on the flowers for the bouquets and the cake. Beautiful!

Claudia and Matthew married November 14, 2009. They had their ceremony at St. Albert the Great Church and their reception was at Villa Antonia. This was such an epic wedding, so my apologies for the massive blog post. From the gorgeous church to the beautiful reception grounds – from the amazingly photogenic wedding party to all of the colorful details, this was such a fun wedding to shoot. The vendors were Bouquets of Austin, Cakes by Kathy, River City Soul, and Vintage Rides of Austin provided the ‘Godfather.’ I just loved the attention to detail that Claudia’s mom provided with all of the decorations…the peacock feathers, the candy table, and all of the sparkly things. And in case you were curious, that’s Claudia’s brother providing the laughs, with his Risky Business rendition. So. Much. Fun!!

Amber and Preston walked the aisle on October 24, 2009 at One World Theatre in Austin, Texas. This was my first time shooting at One World, and it was a lot of fun. There are lots of little nooks and places to shoot. And shooting in the theatre itself with all of the gelled lights is awesome. Amber and Preston actually eloped a few months earlier, but then decided to have a formal ceremony and celebration to include their friends and family. This was such a fun wedding because these two were so laid back, and their friends came ready to party! Congratulations to you both!

Antoinette and Gethon walked the aisle on September 27, 2009. They held their ceremony and reception at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Austin. The gorgeous flowers were designed by Bouquets of Austin, and the amazing cakes were created by Simon Lee Bakery. Yes. That is a helicopter cake…complete with working propellers and flashing lights. Jad and Judy, you have outdone yourselves yet again!! Antoinette and Gethon put so much focus on creating such a gorgeous wedding complete with old customs and so many little details. It was a photographer’s dream to capture so much eye-candy. I hope you have as much fun looking at the pictures as I did taking them! Congratulations!

Claudia’s wedding was this past weekend, so now I can *finally* post the images! We had to reschedule 3 times due to the rain, and I’m so glad we were able to shoot at Laguna Gloria. I absolutely love it there. She brought her cute little dog Wrigley along, so I was able to snap a few photos of the two of them together. All I had to do was say the word “treat” and his head would perk right up…well, he kind of got used to it after a while, and realized that we were actually treatless. Such a sweet lil’ pup! I had a wonderful time working with Claudia and her mom, and I think the images came out awesome! I hope you love them!

Concert photography is one of the things that I love doing the most. On October 23, I photographed The Dustys, Crash Kings, and The Bravery at Emo’s. Even though shooting at Emo’s is always a challenge, this was a really fun show. Big thanks to The Dustys for putting me on the press-list. I’ve also uploaded non-watermarked versions to my smugmug site. I hope you enjoy the pics!

I do some volunteer photography on the side for the Austin Pets Alive organization, a non-profit volunteer organization helping to stop the killing of adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. A dog owner, myself, I just love taking pictures of pups, and if I could take every one of them home, I would. But until I retire (haha!) on that 1000 acre farm, I’ll settle for taking some great pictures to help them find their forever homes. Please consider rescuing a dog!

I’ve known Amy for a little while now, and I was absolutely thrilled when she asked me to be her wedding photog. I was even more thrilled when I found out about her funky, off-beat ideas for a retro engagement session. I love getting the opportunity work with a bride who really wants to think outside the traditional wedding box. Plus, it’s a great chance to redefine a lot of the classic and oft-photographed Austin spots. We hit a ton of locations ended up shooting for about 4 hours, and capped it all off with some margaritas! Some of those locations include: Nau’s Enfield Drug, Doc’s, Amy’s Ice Cream (I just love the little pun here!), the So-Co district, Roadhouse Relics, and a few secret spots too! Also, while outside of Jo’s Coffeehouse, we happened upon a couple who happened to own a ‘55 Porche. They were nice enough to let us use it as a prop. Perfect! I had a blast, and love how the pictures came out. I hope you love them too!!
