Stephanie and Daniel are getting married next month, and I’m really excited to be their wedding photographer! For their engagement session, we started at Austin Music Hall where they met for the first time. We walked around the West side of downtown Austin before heading to Congress, and I had a great time laughing with them and getting to know them better. Their wedding is going to be awesome! Alex and Matt had their wedding on April 7, 2012 at The Hummingbird House in Austin, TX. I’ve had a great time working with Alex and Matt, first for their engagement session, and now their gorgeous wedding! I absolutely loved all of the little hand-made touches, the classic rustic flower arrangements by Central Market, and the grey and yellow color profile. That’s so in right now! And instead of cake, their family made mason jars with pie in them. So good! I always love shooting at The Hummingbird House – Danny and Lauren and the rest of the staff are the best! Stacey and Paul tied the knot March 24, 2012 – they had their ceremony at The Woodlands United Methodist Church and held their reception at Augusta Pines in nearby Spring, TX. I had such a great time working with Stacey and Paul for their engagement session, and then for Stacey’s bridal portraits. They are naturals for the camera! Stacey and Paul tied the knot in Houston back in March, and now I’m happy to share some of my favorite bridal portraits from her session. We shot at The Neill-Cochran House, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to do bridal portraits. They’re always incredibly friendly and so helpful!

I was so excited when I got the call from CLINK that they were putting on a surprise marriage proposal and celebration for Allie and Chris. I was even more excited when I found out all of the details, that Chris had planned to have all of their immediate family there to surprise Allie. He had set it all up that the couple was going to have a picnic at San Michele. He brilliantly sold it to her that I was there because I was getting my lighting prepped for the next day’s wedding. He had her turned with her back to the venue, and their family members slowly walked up behind them. She turned around, and a flood of emotion hit everyone! Nicely done, Chris! After nerves gave way to confidence, he dropped to one knee and popped the big question. And she said YES! The rest of the afternoon was a fun celebration, with tons of laughter and ear-to-ear smiles. Congratulations!!

This is Cardo’s senior portrait session. You may remember Liz and Josh’s engagement session. Well Cardo is Liz’s younger brother, and he’s a member of Troy High School’s Class of 2012! I had a seriously fun time working with him. For his session, we did a little bit of shooting in Temple, before finishing the session at his parents’ farm house. He’s a super talented kid (um yeah…see that red tractor? He restored it. AMAZING!). He’s off to be a fightin’ Texas Aggie in the fall. Congrats!!

Katy and Matt are tying the knot later this year, and I’m really excited that they chose me to be their photographer. I can’t lie…I get nervous when I shoot other photographers, but I think their engagement photos turned out great! We mainly stuck to the favorite South Congress spots, and we just had a lot of laughs while getting to know each other!
