Crystal and Dave wed on June 13, 2009. Their wedding ceremony and reception were held at Vintage Villas in Austin. This was a really unique and fun wedding. So, a priest and a rabbi walk down the aisle…ba dum *crash* !! Bad photographers joke. Seriously though, it was certainly my first inter-faith wedding, complete with a chupah, the ketubah, communion, sacraments, and the breaking of the glass. And that was just the ceremony! During the toast, the groom’s family sang a funny little ditty to the tune of “Davy Crockett.” And it’s always a riot when the bride and groom smash the cake in each others’ faces. Next, the bride and groom had a wardrobe change for their first dance, a swing number. Plus there was the Hora (chair dance) AND a belly dancer! Finally, they were whisked away by horse and carriage. It was certainly a spectacle! Here’s to hoping that Crystal and Dave find their life filled with happiness!
