Teara and Carlos wed on June 5, 2009 at the Waterford House in Austin. This was my first time shooting a wedding at the Waterford. It’s a relatively new wedding venue, and I’ll be interested to see how it develops. What made this wedding incredibly special is that both the bride and groom are deaf. As a photographer, you take for granted just how much communication plays a part in capturing someone’s special day. But in this case, much of that took a back seat to pure photojournalism. Of course, we had some fun during the formals! Thankfully there was an amazing sign interpreter there by my side! Thanks Tracy! I hope you all enjoy the photos!
